Our Cardinal Goals

OUR CARDINAL GOALS (2013-2017)

  1. ENDEAVOURING TO KEEP PEACE AND UNITY IN THE PFN.

Without a united home front, accomplishing the vision of PFN will be difficult. Without members of PFN being in one accord and operating in unity, it will be difficult to achieve the objectives we have set out for ourselves, and tackle the challenges that confront us as a body.

We must recognise that we are one body-with many members performing different functions, but all with the overall objective of the furtherance and propagation of the gospel.  Sectional and ethnic biases should not be allowed to rear their head within the fold of the PFN. Our desire is to ensure that, where there are differences, they are resolved through internal mechanisms within the PFN. A mechanism for peace-making, through arbitration and mediation will be set up.

  • A RENEWED PFN – REBRANDED IN LINE WITH THE DEMANDS OF THE DAY. MORE EFFORTS WILL BE CHANNELED TOWARDS NETWORKING AND ENHANCING PARTICIPATION AMONG MEMBERS WITHIN THE FOLD.

Our objective is to critically examine the present status of the PFN, assess the strengths and weaknesses of its structure, identify the opportunities and threats to its effectiveness, through a SWOT(Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats) analysis, to enable us re-engineer it to meet the demands of the moment and the future. Having done that, the PFN will be rebranded to be a more proactive organisation, which is able to deploy the necessary strategy and tactics that will enable it achieve the objectives which it has set out for itself. A rebranded PFN will be a veritable platform for members to network both internally and externally, with participation greatly enhanced for the benefits of all and the unity of the body.

  • CHAMPION THE CORE BIBLICAL, ETHICALVALUES AND STANDARD OF PFN.

Our goal is to outline, promote and champion the core Biblical ethical values that govern the Christian faith to serve as compass for the conduct by members of the PFN. We will be drawing up a Code of Conduct which members are expected to subscribe to, which will serve as an ethical guide for the activities of members and the PFN in protecting the integrity and standard associated with the organisation.

  • HARNESS, GALVANISE AND SYNERGISE THE PFN STRENGH AND HER GOD-GIVEN RESOURCES.

The PFN is blessed with a lot of God-given resources. Chief of this is the immense human resource and talent within the Pentecostal fold. Our goal is to harness and galvanise this pool of resources, comprising professionals within the different fields to build up a tower of strength for the organisation and ministers. This will help the PFN realise its objectives of building a virile body, harnessing and utilising its resources to drive promotion of the gospel and enable it stay atop the challenges that confront the nation.

  • CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW AND GAZETTING IT WITH THE CAC.

The PFN Constitution in operation was drafted many years back. Unfortunately, it does not adequately reflect the present day realities. We desire to have the constitution reviewed to cover all the grounds which the PFN presently superintends, ensuring that all possible legal loopholes are plugged, and all the requirements of the law are fulfilled, such that the body stands on a sound footing.

  • DATABASE AND DIRECTING OF PFN ON THE WEBSITE.

One of our objectives is to build a comprehensive database and directory of all members of the PFN, home and abroad, such that there is in place a comprehensive register of members who have the stamp of authority of PFN. We intend to deploy a robust and dynamic website, which will serve the dual purpose of serving as a platform for registration and verification of membership. It will serve as a trusted source of authentic information on the pentecostal fold in Nigeria, with the membership register, activities and the position of the PFN on issues readily available on the website.

  • SUSTAINABLE AND ENFORCEABLE REVENUE GENERATION MACHINERY FOR THE PFN.

Our goal is to build a sustainable revenue base for the PFN. Generation of revenue will not be simply based on the support of a few or select members, but revenue generation will be membership-driven. A machinery is to be set in motion to get members to pay annual membership dues on a timely basis to assist with the running of the fellowship.

With such a mechanism in place, projections can be made for projects and other activities of the organisation, based on accruals from members’ dues, grants, donations, etc.
  • OFFICIAL NETWORKING WITH, AND REGISTRATION OF PFN AFFILIATES

There are a number of thriving ministries and churches around the world founded and run by Nigerians. The PFN will work to integrate within its fold those in the Diaspora. A registration and networking machinery will be set up to bring them on board and create a universal umbrella for the Pentecostal fold within Nigeria and the Diaspora.

  • PROJECTS (COMPLETION/COMMISSIONING OF ON-GOING) AND EMBARKING ON NEW ONES – PFN PRINTING PRESS, PFN ABUJA LIASON OFFICE, EDUCATION/VOCATION CENTRES.

Our goal is to ensure that all on-going projects are completed and the new ones embarked upon are successfully delivered and put on a sustainable path to enhance the financial standing and stability of the PFN.

  • OUTREACH PROGRAMMES.

The PFN will periodically organise outreach programmes to propagate the gospel, and intercede on behalf of the nation and the church, on a number of issues that bind us together.

  • POSITIVE ENGAGEMENT IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER BODIES/GROUPS WITH SIMILAR IDEALS.

The PFN has the objective of being pro-actively involved in National affairs to engender good governance at all levels, with a view to ensuring that the Nation is run on the basis of peace, justice, equity and development that impacts the citizens.

We will collaborate with other bodies and agencies with whom we share objectives of peace and prosperity for Nigeria in common.

To assist us in articulating and achieving these set objectives, the PFN Leadership will be setting up eleven directorates to cater for specialised functions. These directorates are as follows:

Peace and Reconciliation

Standards, Values and Ethics

Finance and Accountability

Research and Statistics

PFN in Diaspora
